What's New at SLTS

From time to time, SLTS has new products or information to announce. Below are some of the recent updates to our company or web site. Please visit this location periodically to catch up on anything noteworthy.

2016

March - SLTS is proud to announce that we have been selected by Huntsville to install their first city-wide ATMS.  The Centracs system includes CCTV and MMS.  Over the next several years, the City will replace all their existing controllers with Cobalt-RM's and integrate them into their city-wide Centracs System.

2015

January - As of January 1, 2015, SLTS began distributing in Mississippi for Econolite, Reno A&E and EtherWAN.
March - SLTS is proud to announce we now represent SmartMicro Systems radar. They offer a wide range of detection technology, and will be working with Econolite, as their master US distribution point. We are excited about the opportunity to provide radar detection systems, and looking forward to showing you what they have to offer.
- SLTS is proud to announce we now represent WTI (Wireless Technologies, Inc.). We are excited about the opportunity to provide CCTV systems, and looking forward to showing you what they have to offer.
November - SLTS is proud to announce we were awarded a project to replace Nashvilles' existing MIST system with Centracs.  Over the next several years, Nashville will replace about 900 existing controllers with Econolite Cobalts and integrate them into a city-wide Centracs system.

2014

June - SLTS implements the first Centracs Adaptive system in GA. Johns Creek deployed a 12 intersection adaptive system along SR 141, between Deer Lake Dr and Bobby Jones.

2013

January - SLTS has made some changes to the product lines we now offer. As of January 5, we will no longer be distributing Spot Devices or Dialight products.
February - SLTS is proud to announce we now represent GE Lighting Solutions for LED signals. We are excited about the opportunity to provide GE inserts in our Econolite signal head, and looking forward to showing you what they have to offer.
- SLTS is proud to represent Tapco products for our pedestrian safety equipment. Tapco has a full line of school flashers, RRFBs, lighted LED signs and in-roadway lighting, complemented by a web-based management system. For more information, please call us for a demonstration/presentation.
June - Johns Creek installed the first TS2-1 hybrid cabinet in Georgia. The hybrid cabinet is an ITS style 332 cabinet using a serial interface between the controller and other cabinet components versus the traditional hardwire connections in a standard 332 cabinet. The cabinet utilizes TS2-1 functions and features which provides increases cabinet safeguards and flexibility.
July - DOT allowed Johns Creek to install the first Flashing Yellow Arrow signals on a state route (HWY 141). The signal also has been programmed to be protected only or protected permissive using traffic responsive operation. SLTS now has 11 signals in Georgia, 1 signal in AL, and 2 signals in TN using FYA operation.

2012

February - SLTS is proud to announce that Johns Creek purchased the first system deployed in Georgia. Not only is this the first in Georgia, but it is also the 100th system world-wide. No other ATMS application has sold 100 systems.
April - SLTS is proud to announce that Johns Creek completed the burn in period for their Centracs System and has accepted the system from Econolite. They are leaders in Georgia and have been acknowledged by Econolite for their efforts and achievement.
September - Two more agencies acquired Centracs this month. Brentwood (TN) and Fulton County (GA) both purchased Centracs systems for their system upgrade projects. Brentwood's system is configured for 55 intersections, all with new ASC/3 controllers. Fulton County will receive Centracs for 25 intersections, along with 17 ASC/3 controllers and ACS-Lite for 1 corridor. Congratulations to both.

2011

February - SLTS has just returned from the Econolite national sales meeting with news about a new product offering. They now offer a new software package aimed at helping signal departments and contractors manage their assets and workloads through a web application and smart phones. All work orders and problem reports are entered into a database, and technicians are notified automatically. Their time is logged and inventory is tracked through the software application so that costs can be accurately evaluated.
August - SLTS installs a demonstration Centracs system in Johns Creek. This project is to demonstrate the coordination and preemption features of the ASC/3-2070 software and powerful management capabilities of Centracs.

2010

October - Safetran's new Hybrid 332 cabinet provides NEMA TS2-type 1 serial-based functionality in a 332 cabinet format. This cabinet is the latest innovation from Econolite (Safetran), offering advanced TS2-type 1 safety and flexibility, along with a redesigned NEMA controller, compatible in both the new Hybrid and traditional 332 cabinet with C1 and C11 connectors. SLTS has a demonstration cabinet available for evaluation, upon request.
November - SLTS is proud to announce that we have made arrangements with High Sierra Electronics, Inc., allowing us to provide Road Weather Information Systems, including Flooded Roadway Advisory Systems and Site Specific RWIS (targeting a specific set of weather related traffic hazards). www.highsierraelectronics.com.
December - SLTS is proud to announce that we have made arrangements with Radarsign, headquartered in nearby Roswell, to provide solar and A/C powered radar signs.
